This antique wrench is marked THE LAMSON & SESSIONS Co. CLEVELAND O. U.S.A. Some of the markings are worn. The other side is marked ENGINEERS CASE HARDENED. It measures 12 ¼ inches long. The jaws open over 2 ¼ inches. It has a wood handle with rusted end cap. It is used with wear in good usable condition. The jaw edges have some denting while the turning gears work well. The jaw edges do not close tight to each other. I found "Lamson & Sessions emerged during the industrial boom following the Civil War in Connecticut and Sales trips to the Midwest enticed Samuel Sessions to move the Company in 1869 to the banks of the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland, Ohio."
