The plique -à-jour bow is made using glass enamels in open cells ,like cloisonne but without the backing so light can shine through.
Exquisite detail bowl and flower motif.
Beautiful translucent floral design in blue, greens and pink peony flower.

Handmade, labor intensive bowl by Chinese artisans. The process is long, involving powdered glass, high heat and metal troughs or “cells.”
The light shines through the colorful “stained glass” beautifully.
