Gorgeous and highly desirable 18th Century George III solid silver sugar basket. Clearly hallmarked London 1797 by Robert & David Hennell. With original bright cut engraved design to rim and an empty cartouche waiting for your family crest or monogram. It was purchased at one point form Tessier's London and comes with that box.
It has a swing handle and stands on a pedestal foot with a gold gilt wash to it's interior. It is 7" long by 5" high and It weighs 295 grams
Condition: Very good , no damage or repairs ( please note: what looks like a solder mark across the foot is just a reflection )
