President Abraham Lincoln Log Cabin Folk Art Wall Art
This is a touching memory of our beloved President Abraham Lincoln. The frame is made in the form of Lincoln’s log cabin home. The frame appears to be hand crafted.
On the left is a fine color print of an elderly black gentleman. Perhaps he is an emancipated slave.
On the right is a black and white print portrait of Lincoln.
Both prints are covered by glass.
In between is a cartouche with a quote from Lincoln: “With malice toward none; With charity for all.” This quote is from Lincoln’s second inaugural address on March 4, 1865.
I believe this was made around 1909 to celebrate the centennial of Lincoln’s birth. There were a great many commemorative items and many celebrations including parades, dinners and speeches.
The large size and creative loving design makes an impressive addition to any Lincoln collection.
