This exquisite early 20th century Loring Andrews sterling silver footed bowl features hand chased repoussé decoration consisting of multiple flowers, strawberries and grape clusters along with leaves and curvilinear vines, all of which are set on a stippled ground. The elongated oval rim is shaped and bears an exterior applied silver band which is finished with engraved decoration and includes dimensional floral and foliate accents. The domed oval foot shares the fruit and flower motif found on the body.

The bowl measures 8.5" tall, 12" wide and 7.25" deep. The bowl is in very good antique condition with no removals or repairs. The underside of the bowl is fully and properly hallmarked for The Loring Andrews Company of Cincinnati with the word Sterling and other manufacturer marks. The bottom of the foot rim also bears a beautifully executed hand engraved script monogram. The bowl is quite substantial and weighs in at 935 grams.

This gorgeous oval pedestal bowl has a rare form and would be a wonderful addition to a collection of fine repoussé sterling silver. A truly stunning decorative object with a deep bowl that can be used to house floral arrangements or to serve fruit.
