This gorgeous signed art glass perfume bottle was made by well known artist, Robert Eickholt. Robert Eickholt studied glassblowing in Berkeley, California and returned to his hometown of Columbus, Ohio in 1978 to open his own glassblowing studio. He furthered his studies at Ohio State and Columbus College of Art and Design and went on to develop a national and international reputation for finely crafted art glass. Eickholt often employs precious metals like gold and silver along with oxides like cobalt and copper in his works, lending them an iridescent quality.

This ovoid shaped art glass perfume bottle dates to the earlier part of Eickholt's career and features a cobalt blue pulled feather motif on a gold ground. The piece comes complete with its original spike shaped dauber topped by a clear spherical finial. The perfume bottle and dauber are in very good vintage condition and are free of scratches, chips, cracks and/or impact bruises. The .875" diameter foot is signed with the name of the artist, “Eickholt” and date of production, "1982".

The iridescent perfume bottle stands 5" tall with the dauber in place and is approximately 2.25" across at it widest point. The piece is heavy for its size and weighs in at 14oz.

This beautiful perfume bottle would make a thoughtful gift for glass collectors or anyone who appreciates fine craftsmanship. Whether displayed on a shelf or desk, it is a striking object sure to be noticed.
