This is a very unique German New Year Chimney Sweepers Postcard. This postcard depicts a little girl all dressed up in a chimney sweeps outfit that is fit for any New Years party, Her companion is dressed as a clown. She is sitting on a ladder that he is supporting. She carries her sweeping brush and there is another on the ground.

Chimney sweeps are typical on German New Year's postcards, but little girls in party dresses are very unusual. The card is designated B. W. 294, Made in Germany.

This card has an undivided back. It was used and has a canceled stamp. The postmark says Philadelphia, but the date is unreadable. Someone wrote 1907 lightly on the bottom right corner.

This card is in very good vintage condition with a little postal ink at the top right corner and bumping on the bottom right corner. Very minor defects for a 112 year old card.
