This unique postcard shows a horse drawn steam fire engine racing to the fire. This heavily embossed card has very unusual coloration. It is very bright pink along the bottom, gilt in the middle and light tan with light gilt overlay at the top. This exceptional card has the look of silk. The words "Going to the Fire" are embossed along the bottom front.

This card has a divided back, was published by S. Langsdorf & Co., New York, and was made in Germany.

This truly beautiful card is in excellent unused condition with only the very slightest (almost not noticeable) corner bumping.
