This exceptional postcard depicts George Washington and his troops entering New York harbor. It also has a cameo picture of Washington in a laurel wreath covered with gilt. An eagle sits atop the wreath with 1732 and 1799 at each side.
This embossed card has an address on the reverse and a canceled one-cent stamp. The card was mailed February 1911. This vintage card is in very good condition with a crease at the lower left corner. It is barely visible on the front but can be seen on the back. This card was published by P. Sander and bears the number 414.
