This is a very beautiful, unique and interesting postcard. It is done by the famous English illustrator, Willebeek le Mair. The front shows Mary, Mary quite contrary in her garden looking at a pond surrounded by little bells with a cockle shell in the center. The little maids all in a row surround the garden path.
The card was copyrighted in 1911 by Augener, Ltd.
The back of the card says: Old Rhymes with New Pictures, Illustrated by H. Willebeek le Mair. Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary. It then pictures a row of ducks and has a Valentine's Day verse.
This is a very special card by a wonderful illustrator.
