This 1953 revised edition of this wonderful book has a very Art Deco look. The book is by Aunt Louisa and has eight plates in colour. There are also many black and white illustrations throughout. The stories are delightful and include children, animals, fairies, soldier, and even one page of Black Americana.
The book is in very good vintage condition with slightly bumped corners, a little edge wear, and a little soiling to the back cover. All pages are clean and bright, with no writing and no tears, with the exception of a small tear at the bottom binding edge of the first colour plate. Overall in outstanding condition.
Frederick Warne & Co. is the same publisher that has always published the Beatrix Potter books. This is another outstanding example of their work.
