This delightful pastel figurine of a Sunbonnet Boy and Girl on a see saw was designed by Roger Brown. It was produced by the House of Global Art in 1983.

The story behind these Blue Button children is: over 90 years ago Helene Nyce was inspired to create lovable characters from real-life twins. Their down-to-earth personalities had a special way of touching people's hearts and they became immediately popular.

The rediscovery of the Blue Button Twins underscores their inherent charm and appeal. The sentiments they express have more than endured the passing of time since their introduction in the pages of the "Ladies' Home Journal".

This precious figure shows the lovely faces of two innocent children in sweet outfits, appropriately enhanced with "blue buttons". This figurine measures approximately 4-1/2" high and 4-1/4" across. This figure is signed (autographed) by the artist. This precious figurine is in perfect/unused condition and comes with its original box.
