This antique book is part of the Frank Nelson Series and is entitled: The Boy Traders; or, the Sportsman's Club Among the Boers. It was published by Henry T. Coates & Co., Cincinnati. I have not found a copyright date, but there is a list of other Castlemon books and a notation: "Entered according to Act of Congress, in the year 1877, by R. W. Carroll & Co., In the Office of the Librarian of Congress at Washington."
There is an inscription hand written in the front of the book: "George B. Smart, Lawrence, Mass. M., 1900." The black and white illustration entitled: "The 'Stranger" in the Cyclone." is covered with tissue. Part of the tissue is loose at the bottom.
This wonderful old book is in very good condition, with the following flaws: There are spots on the cover where the dye is missing, leaving light spots. There are also a few marks on the cover. The binding is still tight, but the first few pages feel a little loose, due to opening the book wide. All of the pages are clean, with no tears, marks or soiling. What a delightful antique book.
I will be happy to combine purchases to save on shipping costs. International orders are always welcome.
