You don't see very often a powder jar or trinket box with two lovers kissing each other just like in a movie! This jar was made in the 20s/30s from heavy white porcelain. The details are accented with silver color. The young lady is wearing a crinoline and the man is dressed like a gentleman of the court. The box is quite large: 7" (18 cm) high. It is in good vintage condition with no cracks or repairs and only a tiny chip on the inside rim of the base. There is also some wear on the silver paint which is a sign of age to be found on virtually all silver or gold painted figurines dating from the beginning of last century. This piece is very probably German: there is a maker's mark which looks similar to the one of Meyer, Dresden (but we are not certain at all) printed in red and number 14235 incised under the base. This handsome couple will ship Priority registered airmail for $15 in the countries neighboring Switzerland and $21 anywhere else in the world. Certainly the most romantic addition to a powder jar or trinket box collection!
