Rare Closed Mouth Version of Simon and Halbig 1009 German Bisque Child

Not only is this a very difficult model to find with a closed mouth, she also has the earlier paperweight eyes, and is an adorable cabinet size! Standing 14 1/2 inches tall, this is a very special girl. She has beautiful creamy bisque with no hairlines or repairs. She does have on earring hole that pulled all the way through. Also I noticed her right ear sticks out quite a bit more than the left, which I actually think is super cute. I mean, we're all a bit asymmetrical, right?! She has multi-stroke eyebrows, painted upper and lower lashes, blue glass paperweight eyes with spiral threading, full evenly blushed cheeks, pierced ears, dimpled chin, and a closed mouth with a hint of a space between the accented lips. She wears a pale yellow blonde antique mohair wig that sweetly frames her face with gentle curls. Her early original straight-wristed compo and wood body has most of its original finish, but some paint has chipped off, including a large chunk off the right thigh, and her lower arms and hands are repainted. She wears an antique cotton striped dress with a beautiful collar. The cuff seams are split and could use some TLC, otherwise the dress is clean and bright. Her shoes are vintage white oilcloth with silver tone buckles. Super sweet!
