Some dolls are made to be in the spotlight. This little girl is one of them. Oh, how she shines! She is the Figure A face Jules Steiner Bebe Le Parisien, but marked only "11 Paris" on her head, with the typical red stamp on her body. She is a wonderful 18 inch size, and dressed in an incredible artisan sewn frock of antique silks and lace in the most gorgeous blue color. Her bisque is pale and lovely, with excellent coloring. She does have a few factory idiosyncrasies: a couple of kiln marks-- one on the tip of her nose, and a faint line of red specks sprinkled across her left cheek, mostly unnoticeable in the blush area. She also has a little burst bubble on her chin, which happens sometimes during the firing of the bisque. It never really made an impression on me, until I sat down to write her description and stared at the photos-- she's THAT mesmerizing. She has no hairlines, and no repairs. No damages, other than a couple of tiny chips at the earring holes as shown. She has exquisite blue glass paperweight eyes, long, lushly painted eyelashes, multi-stroke eyebrows, closed mouth with full, accented lips, and a dimple in her chin. I sewed together two antique blonde mohair wigs to give her the gorgeous hairstyle you see. Her original straight-wristed body has its original finish with some typical wear. The hands have darkened some, but the body is very sturdy, and actually looks much prettier in person. Her look is completed with her (original?) blue glass earrings and wonderful antique boots. I hate to see her go, honestly, but she will make herself right at home in the finest French collection!
