Superb 18 Inch Portrait Jumeau French Bisque Bebe Size 8

No doubt about it, this young lady is drop dead gorgeous! From her pale, luminous bisque, to her enchanting blue eyes and delicately painted facial details, she has the look! Her bisque is excellent with just a couple of chips in the neck socket, and on the right earring hole. No other damage, no hairlines, and no repairs. As with most early dolls, the bisque tends to have a few impurities when you observe under magnification, but hers is of the finest quality. There is a slight smudge between two of her bottom eyelashes on the left side. She has pressed bisque, applied ears, early paperweight eyes in pale blue, feather stroke brows, painted upper and lower lashes, gently blushed cheeks, pierced ears, and closed mouth with accented lips. Her early Jumeau body has loose ball joints at the shoulders and hips. It is marked on the derriere and has most of its original finish. There is typical wear and some paint flaked off around the joints and neck. Her lower arms have been professionally repainted some time ago, and the color match is not exact, but pretty good. Her antique mohair wig sits atop her original cork pate and is a lovely ash blonde color, perfect to complement her pale coloring. It has lots of waves and curls. The antique costume on this doll is magnificent. Though not original to her, it was found with a lot of early Jumeau clothing and may well be from the Jumeau factory. In any case, it is a rich burgundy silk with lots of detailing and fine lace. It is in very good condition with only light fraying in the silk in the typical wear areas. Her old French shoes are stamped "7" with no other markings. This girl is sure to be a standout in any collection! WOW!
