Charming 21 Inch Jumeau Bebe Reclame French Bisque Child

This happy girl has a fresh faced look and a lot of appeal. She is known as Bebe Reclame, also called "scrub mark" Jumeau, and was manufactured by Jumeau to be sold by fancy French toy shops of the time. The area where the typical Jumeau mark would be on the back of the head was intentionally "scrubbed" or left white, so that stores could apply their own trademarks. She has excellent bisque with no damage, hairlines or repairs. There is a rub in the right eyebrow, and a couple of little white areas where the color of the bisque was not blended: on the left earlobe and a small dot on the left side of the nose. These are really inconsequential and do not affect her look. There is a small flake at the right earring hole as shown. This lovely girl has multi-stroke eyebrows, lavishly painted upper and lower eyelashes. Note, there is a stray painted eyelash on the inner corner of her right eye. She has gorgeous blue paperweight glass eyes, evenly blushed cheeks, pierced ears with pale blue glass earrings, dimpled philtrum, open mouth with 6 molded teeth, and a wonderful expression. Her original fully jointed French compo/wood body maintains its glossy peach finish and is in nice condition, with only minimal wear for its age, and some paint flakes on the hands. Her naturally curly mohair antique wig is a rich auburn color and flatters her face nicely. She wears a vintage white cotton dress with lace detailing and a vintage Bebe pin. Her antique shoes complete the look.
