This large oil painting of a Victorian Woman was pained was from the estate of the artist, EP. EP was from Romania and passed away in her late 80's in Yonkers. NY. I purchased 3 separate oil painting from her Estate. Each one had a different subject and each was was equally beautiful. You could tell they were all painted by the same person from the style.
The Victorian Woman seems to be reading a book that was placed on a podium. She is wearing a off white bodice with a double cape collar. The front has a lace insert and a pink rose is placed on there. The skirt is gray with a off white bustle matching the bodice. The Victorian Woman has auburn hair in an up-sweep style. There is a tea set on a round table near by. The camera does not capture the true picture of this painting. It is wonderful in person! The canvas is on a Fredrix wood frame. The painting measures approximately 24" long and 18" wide. The painting is well priced...to sell. ENJOY!
PS...The picture is not the most flattering; the immage is clearer. The other oil by the same artish that is featured in my shop is also one that you should look at. It is one of books on a shelf with a lamp...of the same Victorian period. It is nice for an office or library.
Please see the rest of EP's oil paintings that are featured in my shop. Also, the rest of my shop offers a large variety of interesting items that are ANYTHING VINTAGE!
