PERKY PINK was a leading home fashions color in the 1950's for kitchenware. This reminds me of the pink formica round table and black shiny iron chairs with pink vinyl seats from DAYSTROM, a leading manufacturer of that time. The reverse side of the table was/is [I still have it] aqua. It has two leaves...and oh how sturdy it is! Our wallpaper had a charcoal gray background with very small pink flowers that looked like they were hand painted! I use the table in the living-room with a long round cloth. In the kitchen we had lineolim that had a gray ground with spatters of pink and aqua. My Mom let me choose the dinette and kitchen decor!
Getting back to the linen blend tablecloth and matching napkins from BLOOMINGDALES...their KERRY brand. I purchased the set and many other linens from a lady around my age who wanted to down-size. These were all her mothers. The linen has a nice texture to it, as you can see in the napkin photo. You will also see the sticker that has the fiber content [52% Irish Linen/48% long staple Rayon]...PERMANENT PRESS and MADE IN IRELAND. The tablecloth measures 60" by 84"; and the 10 hem-stitched napkins are 17 Inches square. ALL EXCELLENT CONDITION... NEW/OLD STOCK...AND READY FOR YOUR TABLE!! All this for $75.00; how can you go wrong?
