Woodward & Lothrop opened in Boston, MA in 1873 and closed all stores in 1995. Their flagship store moved from Boston to Washington DC. The suit that I am offering to you is labeled Woodward's Men Shops which is from the 1960's.
The 3 piece suit which consists of a jacket, pants, and coordinating vest is made of 100% wool and is the chambray pattern [small checks]in the most popular color of chambray which is blue. The size is marked 38R. This suit has been worn but is still in very good condition. There are only 2 issues and they are small which is a missing front button and the lining at the top of the back vent on jacket requires a few stitches. The rest of the gray lining is fine. There are gussets under the armpit. The suit looks good, but I would suggest a dry cleaning since it has been stored for so many years. It can be worn without a cleaning since there are no issues that I can see.
PLEASE NOTE: Photos were taken on a Ladies Dress Form. The chambray pattern and color did not photograph well. The colors are a bright navy crossed with a light blue and light gray. The check is the size of a pin head.
Here are the measurements...Please check carefully. Do not go by size only.
