Great costume or for display this elegant men's Edwardian black silk long jacket trimmed with black glass buggle beads cascading around neck and down the front of the coat. Same design also extends to cuffed sleeves and down the back.. It also features a combination of silk and crimped fringe and around the neck, along the bottom, and on the buggle beaded pockets .. This is a very elaborately garment. Each side has a vent. There is some wear on the piping outlining the cuffs. The top half of one pocket needs stitching on the two sides. There is also some wear on the front piping for about 3". There is a 1/2" hole near the front closing; a small hole on side at waist; back needs stitching on two sides..about 1.5". The lining is in very good antique condition. A little discoloring under the arms but otherwise it is in very good antique condition.
I think it is a man's and a buyer thinks it is a women's jacket??
