Red silk faille Victorian Bodice / Jacket with triple row cape. Bodice / Jacket is also lined in same red silk faille. It is quite heavy. The bodice short as picture...but after I acquired it I notice part of the weight was coming from the bottom of bodice. I inspected it and found that it was actually a jacket and that there was a wide hem holding up 8.5" of material which was the bottom half of the bodice / jacket. I am leaving it to the new owner to let out the basting stitches. Imagine, they have been there for over a 100 years! The bodice / jacket is well cut, designed, and constructed. The size is small. There are a couple of small clusters of tiny hols in a couple of places on the cape. Since the cape is self lined they do not go through to the other side.
I also have a straight black silk velvet Victorian skirt in a large size that will coming soon. It is pictured with the cape. The skirt is pinned to fit dress form.
You will also find in my shop a black silk beaded and fringed jacket and a plain black silk jacket which both are Victorian.
