The Lalit Kala “Early Muchal Painting” series that was published in a revised edition in1981. There are 6 different plates that are matted on a 10 ¼” x 14 ½” off white stock paper. The actual prints vary in size. The 6 illustrations are as follows: Plate 1 – The White Elephant , Plate 2 – An Encampment Scene, Plate 3 –Babar Falls from his Horse, Plate 4 – Camel Fight, Plate 5 – An Imaginary Meeting between Jahangir and Shah Abbas of Persia and Plate 6 - A Mughal Beauty. The portfolio was printed in Bombay. I can see all these prints in a wonderful display each framed on a wall. This is a beautiful set and is in fantastic condition with the portfolio itself having some small wear.
