Early 1800's handbag is in amazing condition. It is tightly knitted or crocheted with steel beads either sown or crocheted into the purse. The pattern reminds me of snowflakes but more likely they are a flower pattern. Check out all the pictures on this piece. It has the original lining, I believe. There are steel beaded fringe on the bottom of purse. Overall size is 8 ¼" (with fringe 9 ½") x 5 ¼" approximately. It has a wide grosgrain ribbon that opens and closes the purse.
