This is a heavy bulbous clear glass perfume bottle with inclusions of opaque white flowers and controlled bubbles (bullicante). The heavy stopper repeats the rotund shape of the jar as well as the floral and bullicante motifs. The effect is stunning, evoking snowballs and gardens at the same time. The two gorgeous layers of controlled bubbles are classic St Clair style and quality.
The bottle measures 4 ¾” tall x 3 ¼” wide; the stopper is 2 3/8” wide at top x 2 ½” long.
St. Clair perfume bottles are signed in several ways, but some, like this one, are unsigned. (Ref., Antique Trader Price Guide, 2008, p. 32). The condition is excellent with no damage or repairs.
It’s just waiting to be a Christmas present!
