This is a stunning hand painted porcelain wall plaque, or mask, of a lovely woman’s face framed by a fan and plume hat. The highly glazed colors are yellow, muted pink and red on an off-white field. The maker is Crown Devon of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire and the artist is “Dorothy Ann” their featured designer. Measures 7” wide x 8” tall x about 2” deep.

Signed on back with a crown emblem over Crown … / … Devon / Made in England / Trade Mark (all under the glaze in black ink). Above this, much larger, under glaze in black paint is Hand Painted / By / “Dorothy Ann.” This Crown Devon mark was used circa 1930 - (Godden’s Mark 1551).

The condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, scratches or crazing. As stated above, it’s stunning!

We also have a mate to this mask in our shop, in different vibrant colors. Take a look! We’ll be glad to combine shipping should you wish to purchase both.
