This lovely old souvenir bookmark from the 1933 Chicago World Fair was cut from a yellow brass-like metal. It is etched with art nouveau scrollwork, which contrasts nicely with the ultra modern art deco logo of the Fair. The logo is on a blue enamel medallion reading 1933 / A Century of Progress. Bookmark measures 4 ¼” long x 1” wide at widest; medallion area with logo is 3/8” wide x about 1” tall.
Metal a bit bent at narrow points (see photo) and a bit discolored. Could be cleaned with metal polish, but we have left that decision to the new owner. In very good condition overall. A charming little piece of history with a life of its own.
