This is a beautiful little Royal Worcester bud vase in their blush ivory style. It’s adorned with hand painted chrysanthemums, asters and buttercups, all hand painted and highlighted with 22k gold. The top of the slender neck is richly gilded. Vase measures 6 ½” tall x 3” in diameter at belly x 1 5/8” across recessed bottom. Long, straight neck is 5/8” in diameter.
Mark is Royal Worcester’s crest in puce with crescent at center. Underneath is Royal Worcester England without dots. This signifies made in 1891 (Godden’s #4354). Registered number 68828 signifies 1892 (The Potteries) so apparently the vase was made the year before it was registered. Pattern number 1215 is below reg. number. Center of underside is glazed but table ring is not.
There is a tiny chip to the white porcelain interior of the rim of the vase measuring less than 1/8” and barely visible. There is also some gold loss at very top of the rim. Otherwise in wonderful condition!
