This is a large, lovely hand decorated robins egg blue milk glass compote with a wide ruffled rim and a three-legged stem. The outside walls of the dish feature curved lattice-work ribs, adorned with hand-painted dark blue leaves and delicate raised white flowers. Measures 5 1/8” tall x 5 1/8” wide x 3” diameter at base. Striking tri-ribbon shaped stem is 1 5/8” high.
The top side of the round base shows three seam lines and bears Westmoreland's gold foil label: Westmoreland Glass Authentic Handmade. Signature of Westmoreland artist, L. Drury and date, 1979, are inked on underside above raised Westmoreland mark, W on G. Condition is excellent, with no damage.
Three very shallow impressed lines appear at the very center of the underside of the base, just above the W/G mark. We don't know what they are, but they are not cracks or scratches. (They show in the last picture.)
