Sweet and lovely, this is a vintage Tuscan creamer and open sugar bowl of fine translucent bone china in the Forget-Me-Not pattern. Both pieces are richly adorned with bouquets of forget-me-nots and trimmed with the brightest gold enamel, all on perfectly white porcelain. Sugar bowl measures 3 5/8” at rim x 2” tall x 1 7/8” across base. Creamer is 3 5/8” lip to handle end x 3 ¼” tall x 1 ½” diameter at the base; bulb-shaped body of creamer about 3” diameter.
Both pieces are marked on undersides with an older Tuscan mark (without ‘Royal’) used from 1947 to about 1966. Mark consists of Tuscan/Fine English/Bone China, and a graphic winged crown over Made In England. Both pieces show the pattern name in red over the glaze; pitcher bears gold inked DL33; both have tiny number 2 in blue.
Condition of both pieces is excellent. In fact, they appear to be unused and would be perfect for your collection or your dining table!
