Beautiful and sturdy, this three-footed amethyst slag glass bowl by Imperial Glass Company is in the Open Rose pattern. The heavy slag glass is marbled with white milk glass which swirls into several lighter shades of purple. The high relief Open Rose pattern catches the light to make the bowl seem delicate. It stands on three little carved feet and bears a graceful deeply crimped edge.
The bowl measures 8” wide by 3 1/8” tall. A glass lozenge with Imperial’s mark (an elaborate raised capital I superimposed on a G) is on underside. This mark was used from 1951-1977.
Condition is excellent with no damage, flaws or issues of any kind. It is just beautiful.
