Here is a lovely demitasse set by Johnson Brothers in the Haddon Hall pattern. The saucer bears a charming transfer ware depiction of Haddon Hall and a lady in 19th century attire. The flat-sided cup shows the same lady at the foot of an outdoor stairway, while the back shows a family of deer resting in a woody glade. (Haddon Hall is a manor house in Derbyshire, UK which was begun in the 11th century and is considered one of the finer grand old houses in England today.)
Cup measures 3 ½” rim to handle end x 2 ¼” tall; the saucer is 4 3/8” in diameter x ¾” tall. Underside of cup impressed with Made in England. Saucer bears over glaze stamp, Haddon Hall / Johnson Bros / Made In / England and a rubbed Pat. No. which we can’t decipher.
Set is in excellent condition with only light crazing to underside of saucer and very light crazing to its top. Cup shows no crazing or flaws of any kind.
