Here’s a dainty little silver tone metal souvenir spoon, marked Luray Caverns, Virginia on the little blue and gold medallion at end of handle. At center of medallion is a tiny embossed gold rendering of the inside of a cavern. The Caverns of Luray is a popular tourist attraction in the Shenandoah Valley close to Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, and other famous Virginia sites.
This pretty little lightweight mixed metal spoon was forge-stamped, but shaft of handle is made to resemble twisted round strands of metal, giving depth to the piece. Back of medallion incised USA; no other marks. Measures 3 ¾” long; bowl of spoon is 1 ¼” long x ¾” wide; medallion is 11/16” wide. Condition is excellent. Free postage.
