These hand painted bisque robins are cheerful with lots of realistic detail and seem to be inspecting the ground for unsuspecting worms. They are perched upon large green leaves with red berries close to the pale green bases. Almost identical, each bears its own mark: one has a Lefton over-glaze stamp with Lefton China over a blue crown, Hand Painted and Reg U.S. Patent Off. underneath. It also has a Lefton China Made in Japan foil sticker in red and gold; and it's stamped Red Robin in longhand with number KW464. The other has the same number, and shows a printed mark of N inside C; it's stamped with Red Robin and KW464; it also bears a red & gold Made in Japan foil sticker. Each measures 4 1/8” tall x 3 18” wide.
The one with the Lefton sticker has a chipped bill (shown in Photos 1 & 3). Otherwise both pieces are in excellent condition with no other damage of any kind. We believe them to be from 1950s-1970s.
