The plate is 9 ½” wide, richly bordered with gold enamel, and completely covered by the portrait of a barn owl inside the rustic ruin of a barn, all done in earth-tones. This is enclosed in a double ring of green inside the table ring.
The paper certificate entitled “Waiting for Dusk” bears Number 05786 (of 15,000) and is signed in ink by the artist, John Seerey-Lester and by the Chairman of the Hamilton Collection, James P. Smith Jr.
