1950s Retro Five & Dime Ceramic Pie Server, Southwestern
This dime-store vintage charming ceramic pie server is creamy white with a pierced handle. The blade is decorated with a hand painted southwestern or Mexican scene showing a white adobe house with a flowering cactus in front, palm trees and towering clouds above. There's a stripe of silver paint on the handle between two shallow indentations. Server measures 9 ¼" long x 2 ½" wide at widest. It's probably post-war American made as there is no import mark. There's a small dark mark on back of handle. Piece is uniformly crazed and there are several small dots of excess glaze. An engaging little item for the collector of five and ten cent store items or vintage kitchenware. Will look cheerful hanging on a kitchen wall.
