This is a lovely antique salt and pepper set made of light blue mold blown opaque glass dating from 1890 - 1900. Pieces are barrel-shaped, each with three vertical ribs running from top to bottom, and adorned with embossed vines, flowers and leaves. Original brass-colored lids are handsomely machine-tooled, one for salt, with slightly larger holes than the other. Shakers are unmarked and measure 3" tall x 1 3/8" at base. The condition of the shakers is very fine except for the rims, which are quite rough as is expected in antique mold blown glass (2nd photo). Insides are very clean. Lids are very discolored, show some corrosion, and one has a small crack at the side, all of which is common (photo 5). Aside from the rims, these lovely salt and peppers are in beautiful condition with no cracks, chips, scratches or discoloration. We know that they will bring great pleasure when added to a collection or used to start one.
