Here is a lovely eight-sided, hand painted, gold enameled creamer/sugar bowl with lid, made in Germany. All three pieces are very pale blue, burnished with a bit of pale brown, and adorned with delicate roses and foliage. The insides are pure white and the lid to the sugar bowl is white with roses. The elegant curved handles are heavily adorned with gold enamel, as is the wide rim of the sugar bowl and the rim of the creamer. The set is signed by the artist, C. Lutz on the underside of the creamer and on the bottom of the lid to the sugar bowl.
Sugar bowl measures 4" tall to top of finial x 5 3/4 handle end to handle end. Creamer is 3 1/2" tall at highest point x 5 1/4" wide from spout to handle end.
The undersides of both large pieces are marked Z.S. & Co. over a wavy line, and Bavaria. This mark was used by Zeh, Scherzer & Co. of Rehau, Bavaria from 1880-1918. There is a really tiny kiln pop on one side of the sugar bowl and a couple of tiny kiln specks in the inside bottom of the creamer (shown). There is no damage of any kind to any part of this lovely, elegant set. No cracks, chips, scratches or crazing. It is perfectly beautiful.
