Alternating stripes of transparent and opaque green with a clear layer on top, which resembles cased glass. Made by the Best Plastic Co. in the 1960s in Providence, RI. This company is featured in the book "Plastic Bangles," which I wrote with Lyn Tortoriello (Schiffer 2005). We were lucky enough to tour the factory and see the machines used to extrude, shape, and tumble these bangles.
This bangle measures almost one inch by 1/4 inch and has an opening of 2 5/8 inches across. The condition is very good with minor age-appropriate wear.
