Seven of these bangles are made of a plastic that has a slightly rubbery quality and is softer than Lucite. (If anyone knows what it is please tell me!) Two of these bangles have labels reading "Made in Western Germany." They all have mold marks on the inside. The yellow one is made of a harder plastic and has the label "Made in Hong Kong," but otherwise is exactly the same in pattern, size, and shape. This shift in the place of production can be seen with several other styles of West German bangles. It seems that at a certain point production was moved to Hong Kong. I would date these to the 1960s-1970s.
They measure one inch wide by 1/2 inch thick, and the openings are 2 3/4 inches across, so larger than standard vintage bangles.
The condition is very good on all bangles.
