This is a very rare color for this style of bangle – the only one I have ever seen. It’s a deep opaque purple, almost the color of eggplant with brighter notes in the swirls. These were made in West Germany in the 1960s and sometimes come with a small sticker that reads “Made in Western Germany.” This one has no label but it has the other hallmarks – a slightly visible seam running across the outside, and a round mold mark on the inside. The bangle is 1 5/8 inches wide, and about ½ inch thick. The opening is 2 ¾ inches across. Condition is excellent. Any apparent marks are just reflections. I have also listed two transparent bangles of this type as items 1395 and 1396.
