An incredibly unique piece displaying a regal American Eagle preparing to take flight. This is pot metal with a thin plating of copper which has normal wear spots for something this age. One particular worn area is where you would raise the lid, copper being worn through where the thumb hits the base. There is also some darkening (oxidation?) on the right corner inside the lid but inside and out there is no corrosion deteriorating the metal. Tucked inside this little cutie are two round holes, one empty but the other still holding its original cake of powder and applicator. Two elongated slots hold two original (VERY RARE!) chrome tubes of refillable lipsticks with the remnants of the bright colors still visible. The overall design screams art deco style and I can imagine the woman who owned this piece treasured it immensely.
