A beautiful solid 18ct yellow gold vintage ring, an original Victorian era piece circa 1880. With open work split shoulders and set with gemstones in a cross shape. The top stone is a red/pink ruby, the middle is a blue sapphire, and bottom is a genuine mine cut diamond. Red, White and Blue! There are also two small round diamonds on each side. The ruby, sapphire and diamonds have been tested and verified as genuine using a Presidium gemstone tester.
The face of the ring measures 9 mms tall, the back of the band is 2.5 mms wide. The ruby and sapphire are each 2 mms in diameter, the mine cut diamond measures 2 x 2 mms in size. Each small round diamond is just over 1 mm in diameter.
Size P (a medium finger size). US size 7 1/2. Fully hallmarked as 18ct Gold, though the hallmarks are very faint and worn with age. The ring weighs 2.1 grams.
In good antique condition with minimal signs of wear. The band has been resized at some point and is a little thinner with age. Please see the photos. Will be posted in a box ready to give as a gift (not the box pictured but an equally nice new ring box)
