This is an old package of Bon Ami Powder with the familiar chick trademark that reads; Hasn’t Scratched Yet. It was manufactured by The Bon Ami Company of New York and was found in many kitchens beginning in the early 1900’s. This cardboard container has a metal top with hole in the middle that has never been punctured for use. The bottom is also metal on this little can. This is the type of product sample that was mailed to housewives in the 1930's, 40’s and 50’s. It comes with the original paper advertising pamphlet that tells of the many ways Bon Ami should be used in your home. The pamphlet has a copyright date of 1936.
It measures about 2 ½” high by 1 7/8” wide and 1 3/8” deep and is in very good condition with minimal wear. The little booklet measures about 2 ¼” by 4 1/8” and is in good condition also. It has a rub mark where it was rubber banded around the container.
