This is an attractive looking man's ring with a simple oval, cabochon stone in a classic silver mount. I have seen this design referred to as a Navajo Prayer Fan but I don’t know if that is an accurate name. A small rope detail is around the high bezel. The stone is a subtle greenish blue with a matrix of brown and subdued gold. Overall, the ring has clean, simplistic lines and is quite sharp. Inside it is stamped; Sterling and Cortez I.W..
The stone measures about ½” wide by 5/8” in length. The width of the band measures about 13/16” at the top and about 3/16” at the bottom. It measures between a size 10 and 10 1/2 on my ring mandrel. It weighs approximately 8.5 dwt. or 13.25 grams. It is an estate piece of jewelry in very good condition with light usage wear.
