This small, lightweight tin horse drawn cart is an old penny or nickel toy from the early 1900's. This is a slightly larger size which may classify it as a nickel toy rather than penny toy. It is nicely painted and litho’d and on the side of the horse’s belly it is marked; Made in Germany.
It measures almost 4 ½” in length and about 2 ¾” high at the top of the driver’s cap. It is in very nice condition with minimal paint wear. There is a shiny spot near the top of the horse’s head that looks like solder. It doesn’t seem like a repair since the tabs seem to be intact so it could be a manufacturing flaw but it is being pointed out so you can take note of it.
