I believe this old hammer was made in Spain. The cast steel head has a curved claw with a flared, square poll and square flat face with slightly beveled corner. On the bottom side of the neck is a logo with an acorn and the name Bellota along with the letter “A”. The round handle has a logo and it reads; Garantizada Bellota which roughly translates from Spanish to English Guaranteed Acorn. It has a screw in the end which is probably acting as a wedge. The wood handle is round with no embellishments.
It weighs almost 1# and measures about 11 3/8” long. The head measures about 4 1/8” from the hammer face to the back of the claw and the face measures almost 1” square. It is in very nice original condition. There is a tiny nick on one of the claws and there is a little roughness on the handle near the head.
