This old Burham safety razor comes with its original tin box. On the hinged lid of the tin is a depiction of a razor that appears to be a slightly different model than the one that came in this tin. The lid reads; The Burham Safety Razor - Complete with 3 Blades - 3 Extra Blades 10c - Burham Safety Razor Co. New York, N.Y. U.S.A.. The bottom half of the tin, as well as the inside, is gold. The razor is rather simple with three crosshatched segments on the handle and the Burham name on the head. It has no razor blade in it and none are in the tin.
The razor measures about 3 3/8” long and is in fair condition with minimal wear although some of the plating is weak so it has some discoloration. The tin measures about 1 7/8” by 3 3/8" by 7/8” and it is in fairly nice condition with good gloss, minor dents and scratches. There is a little rust, primarily on the silver head of the pictured razor. The gold is worn off the sides and bottom.
