When I first saw this little dog I thought of the story of the gingham dog and the calico cat. This fabric dog that reminds me of a Scottie is an old pin cushion and the tail is the tab for the tape measure. He has tiny small plastic eyes and a stitched nose and mouth. There is a thin, vinyl like collar around its neck. The white cloth tape measure has inch increments on both sides. There is a small sewn in label that reads; Foreig(n). I believe he is probably from the 1950’s or 1960’s.
He measures about 3 ½” from nose to tail, about 2 1/8” across the hind legs and almost 2 ½” to the top of his ear. He’s in nice but used condition with light wear and soiling. The tape pulls out and retracts wells and has a slight amount of edge wear. There are a lot of tiny pin holes, more can be seen on his belly than on his back.
